Rummaging through one’s memory
Trying to recall the last time one was ever truly at ease
It’s not quite a new revelation to reckon
that
pride does not equal to bliss – and
neither does satisfaction
If at all, they may be quite the reverse
As we are haunted with the constant urge to always become “more”
But a mountain must be conquered,
and one’s got everything to prove
– or so they think
Modern life is an unfortunate competition and
not everyone may come out winning
and for many, it’s unnerving to even think
of losing
As if our concept of “ordinary” guarantees a life of no more peace
though if at all,
doesn’t it actually do?
