Pacific Twilight (2017)

Twinkle, twinkle little drops of water in the ocean
Showered in gold, bathed in the sea of silvery sparks
Above an Alaskan ship I whispered to you,
“Do you ever wonder if you’re ever going to coalesce with the clouds again?”

What is home, what is a voyage, aren’t we all in our own odysseys all this time?
Constantly seeking, permanently aching,
in a search for consolation, or just comfort in not knowing enough.

You be the eyes and I be the ears
We’ll sail our hearts away and never return
Afar,
Adrift,
Somewhere unheard of in the Pacific.

Thankyou, I learned a lot from your works.

What is your favorite poet by the way?

    • Thank you, thank you. You have your own unique way with your poems as well. I wish I could write better sajak and puisi in Indonesian like you do. 🙂

It’s probably Rumi for me! What about you?
