Southwest Chief (2017)
I sat across a world that was moving in a hurry, watching people and places departed into a distant past, all while I was attempting to arrive at a pre-destined end;
One stop at a time, whole bunch of new crowds was rushing to get in, all trying to complete each own’s journey; not one soul bothered to strike up a conversation, so I kept counting how far I’d been brought;
Monuments faded in the background as the concrete jungles had shifted into a wasteland; I fell asleep to the sound of eerie nothing;
then woke up to grains of lights piercing through the window. Outside was a big white room, where I knew I must get off,
and you were still sitting next to me while everyone else had left the train.
